You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out to Begin: A Reflection on Spirituality, Seeking, and Why This Space Was Built for Those Still Finding Their Way
by Ronda Thornton
Spirituality is one of those words that can stop a conversation before it starts. For some it carries the weight of religion, doctrine, or expectation. For others it feels too abstract, too personal, or simply too loaded to claim. And for many, especially those navigating wellness spaces, it creates a quiet ambivalence. An unspoken question that sounds something like: is this for me?
At TNTW, we believe whole-person wellness cannot be fully realized without honoring the spiritual dimension of who we are. Not as dogma. Not as prescription. But as an honest acknowledgment that human beings are meaning-making creatures, and that the search for purpose, peace, and alignment is not a detour from the wellness journey. It is the wellness journey.
As a seeker, I often contemplate the Universe and my place within it. I'm learning that the contemplation itself is part of the journey, maybe even the point. At the very root of being human, I believe we were not created to find Source, but to remember and return to a relationship we already carry within us. Our journey here is not just toward the divine; it is from it, with it, and into the fullness of its love. This is for the ones still finding their way back
As the Founder of TNTW, I've always had a deep love and appreciation for those who are seekers. People on a quest to unearth the best parts of themselves. Those who are committed to becoming more aligned…more authentic…more kind, loving, and compassionate.
Those who have wrestled with finding peace and purpose, and still choose to continue. I have a deep respect for those who can admit they've lost their way at times…and yet persist because they believe in something greater than themselves.
That, to me, is sacred. And it is a cornerstone of whole-person wellness.
That love comes from recognition, because I am that. I know what it feels like to search. To question. To lose your way and find it again. To hold the juxtaposition of both faith and uncertainty at the same time.
My own spiritual path is rooted in faith. I believe God is greater than any one religion or philosophy. While my foundation is grounded in Christianity, my understanding has been expanded, not just through prayer and meditation, but through travel, lived experience, and the wisdom of other faith traditions. I’ve felt God in the awe of the world’s wonders, in the vastness of the ocean, the quiet beauty of a sunset, and in moments of genuine connection with those who see the world differently.
I believe in a Supreme, eternal, omnipotent, and omnipresent Source. And my life has been genuinely enriched by the moments I continue to encounter the love of God in people, places, and experiences I never expected.
That, to me, is the essence of faith.
Here at TNTW, spirituality is honored as an integral part of whole-person wellness, not as doctrine or dogma, but as a doorway. I honor the freedom of every person to walk the path that feels true to their soul.
And whether you resonate with the language of God, universal love, or are simply trying to understand your place in all of this,
